Successful completion of the project “Teaching in a Time of Crisis: Innovative Tools, Strategies, and Approaches to Improving English Learning for Ukrainians”

The associate professors of the English Philology Department, Nataliia Pyliachyk and Iryna Malyshivska, successfully completed their work in the project “Teaching in a Time of Crisis: Innovative Tools, Strategies, and Approaches to Improving English Learning for Ukrainians.” The project consisted of three stages: 1) an exciting series of lectures and seminars in Krakow at the “2023 TESOL Ukraine Summer Institute” (July 2-7, 2023); 2) intensive online training on creating academic courses on the Canvas platform (September-October 2023); 3) a concluding online conference-report where participants delivered presentations and showcased newly created courses (November 17, 2023).
Nataliia Pyliachyk gave a speech on the topic “Challenges in Creating an Online Course on Canvas; and introduced the course “Practical Grammar of English.” Iryna Malyshivska presented a report titled “Canvas in Action: First Steps in Course Designing” and acquainted attendees with the course “General English: Medicine.”
Sincere gratitude to TESOL Ukraine, The Regional English Language Office (RELO), and the coordinator and inspirer of the project, Iryna Liashenko, for the opportunity to be part of the team and continue self-improvement despite challenging times in Ukraine.

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
