In order to provide quality educational services and employment for graduates, the Faculty of Foreign Languages maintains close contacts with employers and involves practitioners. Today in one of the classes on “Computer Terminology Translation” Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. of English Philology Department Nataliia Ivanotchak hosted an English-language meetinп, where successful graduates of the faculty, representatives of the leading IT companies in Ukraine LLC “InventorSoft Nordics” and LLC “Perfectial” shared their experience.
Natalia Semchuk, HR Director of “Inventorsoft Nordics” LLC, spoke about her career path, employment opportunities in the field of IT for graduates of the faculty and the necessary competencies, including ones in the field of computer terminology translation, and personal qualities that are the key to success. Our graduate was pleased to note that the Precarpathian National University keeps pace with the times, as it offers its students many options for self-development, including, in particular, the opportunity to take free online courses at Coursera for Campus, which can deepen the existing knowledge, ensure diverse development and become a highlight of on their resume.
Halyna Kuzminchuk, the representative of “Perfectial” LLC, spoke about the teaching aspect of working in an IT company, stressed the importance of continuous professional development and maintaining a positive image in social and professional networks, and gave students good advice on professional development as English teachers of the international level. An interesting aspect of the meeting was the discussion of student volunteering, which can be the first step in career development and provide the necessary practical skills.
Students of the faculty take an active part in the social life of the city, working as volunteer translators for foreign delegations during various international festivals and conferences. Such experience, together with the skills acquired during the training and internships at the faculty, according to stakeholders, is the key to competitiveness and a high level of preparation of our students.
